By leveraging Whatfix's Product Analytics and in-app guidance, the company accelerated the completion of self-assessments, particularly among sales team members, leading to quicker overall performance reviews.
During the performance assessment cycle, there was a significant delay in the employee self-assessment step. Employees often ignored or forgot to initiate the self-assessment, dropped off mid-process due to a lack of knowledge or awareness, or submitted assessments with errors, causing further delays. These issues resulted in financial impacts for the organization and reduced productivity for both employees and their reporting managers.
Whatfix utilized Product Analytics to identify friction points where employees struggled or dropped off during the self-assessment process. Page-level journeys were captured to understand which sections employees visited and the time spent on each. Data visualized through User Journeys and Funnels revealed significant drop-off at the goal ratings and competency ratings steps, especially among sales team members. To address this, a Beacon was added to the rating widget for sales employees, providing a link with detailed instructions on 'How to rate yourself.'
